The Rev. George E. Thomas, age 100, a Retired Elder, died on Wednesday, May 9, 2018. He retired in 1985, after serving as pastor to the following churches:
- Malvern UMC
- Millersville: First UMC
- Washington Boro UMC
- Berwyn UMC
He also served in extension ministry as a chaplain:
- Chaplain, US Navy
- Chaplain, Pennington School, NJ
- Chaplain, Perkiomen School, Pennsburg
There will be a Service of Remembrance for Chaplain George E. Thomas, on Saturday, May 19, 1 PM, in Zerr Chapel at Cornwall Manor Retirement Community, 1 Boyd Street, Cornwall, PA 17016.
George was the husband of Carmel M. Thomas, who passed in 2011, the father of twin sons, George and John, and a grandfather and great-grandfather.
