LUMINA, an Advance Special project and a ministry of Eastern PA's West District, is a constant gift to the lives of individuals and families in the Lancaster area. These children of LUMINA portray the Christmas story at a 2022 celebration.

The EPA Conference Global Ministries Team announces Jan. 4 as the application deadline for churches and other entities to request mission funding from EPA churches through the Advance Specials program. 

Advance Specials are local projects in EPA approved annually by the Annual Conference, giving them exclusive rights to solicit funding from churches conferencewide.  

Churches that want to give to approved Advance Special projects should first fulfill their primary connectional stewardship commitments to the conference and general church by remitting apportioned funds and direct-bill payments. Additional giving to local ministries is called “second-mile giving.”

Applications for Advance Special status for 2024-2025 must be submitted by Jan. 4, so that a timely 2024 Annual Conference report and resolution can be prepared and submitted. Learn more.
