Come join us for a night of food, fellowship and sharing with others through LUMINA on Friday, Nov. 18, 6–8 PM, at First United Methodist Church, 29 E Walnut St, Lancaster, PA 17602, USA (map). It’s our  Annual Celebration & ‘ExtraOrdinary Give’ Appreciation Night.

LUMINA, a cooperative mission project of the Eastern PA Conference serving the Southwest District, will again be participating in the “Extra-Ordinary Give” fundraising support effort on Friday, Nov. 18.  We will combine our giving to this great ministry with a celebration and potato bake, offering delicious, donated baked potatoes with various toppings.

We’ll gather from 6 to 8 PM at First United Methodist Church of Lancaster to feast and fellowship together in love. There will be computers setup to allow you to give to Lumina through the “Extra-Ordinary Give” website. Learn more at http://www.luminaoutreach.org/extra-ordinary-giving/.

LUMINA is the Latin word for light. We believe God calls us to let our light shine in the darkest places of our communities and the darkest places of people’s lives, places such as poverty and despair. Our mission is to share the love of God by equipping and encouraging people who experience poverty and hardship.

LUMINA, the Lancaster United Methodist Inner-City Alliance, exists to offer the impoverished in Lancaster County the light of hope: to encourage children and youth through Christian character building, to empower families through life skill education, and to equip those in need with basic necessities and proper clothing for work and school.
