We have been notified of the death of the Rev. John Ness, a Retired Full Elder, who passed away on January 30, 2016. He was 81 and lived in Fawn Grove, Pa.
Rev. Ness served the following appointments until his retirement in 1999:
- Landingville: Welcome UMC
- Orwigsburg: Salem UMC
- Cedarville UMC
- Lebanon: Covenant UMC
- UMC General Board of Global Ministries, as Executive Secretary of the United Methodist Development Fund
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara M. Ness. Surviving him are three children and five grandchildren. Services are private at the family’s request.
