Clergy are encouraged to attend free, monthly spiritual retreats just for them, starting next Wednesday, February 7, 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Richmond UMC in Bangor, North District, will host the first; but clergy can also participate via Zoom. Future half-day retreats, which are sponsored by EPA’s Cabinet, will move to various locations.
“Spiritual retreats can be a time of rest from the daily grind of ministry,” says the Rev. Peter Jamieson, facilitator. “The spiritual practices learned can be a source of strength and trust in God, as we continue to lead our congregations during a time of change. Gathering with others enables the Holy Spirit to work within each of us to become more open to God’s presence and calling.”
