We are informed that the Rev. Betty A. Ford, 80, of Shamokin, died on May 3, 2018. She was a retired local pastor, who served Shamokin: Emmanuel UMC and Shamokin: Zion UMC, while in active service. In retirement, she served Ranshaw: Johnston City UMC.
She is survived by sons and daughters: Cheryl Ann Kleman and husband, Richard; Robert D. Ford; Janet E. Shriner; John Ford and wife, Marlene; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin Arnold, in 2016.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family, with Rev. Beverly Petrovich officiating. A viewing will be held at Farrow Funeral Directors on Tuesday, May 8, from 7 to 9 PM.
