December 1 is World AIDS Day, a day when many of us remember precious lives lost to this global, still incurable disease and focus our concern on people living with HIV and AIDS today and the ongoing challenge we face to eradicate it through prevention, education for greater awareness, research and treatment.  In some U.S. cities, the rate of those living with HIV/AIDS matches that of some African nations. Asbury UMC in nearby Atlantic City, N.J.,  is committed to embracing those living with the disease, despite the stigma they may face, and some of its members have known and cared for persons with HIV and AIDS.  View the video on umc.org.
