SE District Clergy listening to Rev. Jim Walker's Presentation

Southeast District

CROSS_AND_FLAME_colorDear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Welcome to the Southeast District where we are engaged in mission and ministry both locally and globally.  The Southeast District is one of six districts in the Eastern PA Conference of the United Methodist Church.  The district is comprised of 66 churches stretching from West Chester to West Philadelphia.  Southeast District passionately seeks to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

Together with Rev. Lin George, our District Resource Assistant, we seek to build up the body of Christ both inside and outside the walls of the church.

The Southeast District Office is located at 60 W. Boot Road in West Chester, PA.  If you would like further information or church resourcing, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Together in Ministry,

Rev. Dawn Taylor-Storm, District Superintendent & Rev. Lin George, District Resource Assistant

Important Message from DS Taylor-Storm – Southeast District Night of Dialogue

Today, more than ever, our churches need to be places where people can come together and find space for respectful dialogue with one another.  Our district will be offering intentional opportunities throughout 2017 for clergy and laity to engage these vital conversations with one another.  Please mark your calendars now for a Southeast District Night of Dialogue on Jan. 16, 2017 (Martin Luther King Day) from 7-9 p.m. at Church of the Open Door in Kennett Square. The evening will be an opportunity to grow in relationship with clergy and laity throughout the district.  We will take time to hear each other’s stories and learn from one another.  We will also discern ways that we can help our communities have vital conversations with one another and how to build bridges in our communities.  DS Taylor-Storm will lead the devotion for the evening; Rev. Lydia Munoz will be our lead facilitator for the dialogue.  These conversations are vital to our ongoing journey to become the beloved community that God intends for us.  The resources we use during the evening will be able to be reproduced for use in each local church.

A registration link will be forthcoming.  Please save the date.  May God bless the work of your hands this day.

Together in Ministry,

Rev. Dawn Taylor-Storm, District Superintendent

Southeast District Mission Project

Last year, the Southeast District raised the funds to build a pediatric unit in Mpasa, Congo! Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Our next step is to raise the funds to furnish the inside operations of the Mpasa Clinic. From cribs for children to medical equipment for safe labor, the Southeast District will enable the Mpasa clinic to meet the needs of children and families. As the early Methodists built hospitals, so too, we are returning to our Wesleyan roots as we bring hope and healing to the children of Mpasa, Congo.

Through the Southeast District Mission Project, YOU are helping to transform the lives of children in Mpasa, Congo. One life at a time. One step at a time. Every gift counts. Learn more
