We have received requests for unused Christmas cards to be donated to people who are incarcerated so that they may send a card to their loved ones. This year we have 2, and possibly 3 facilities that are looking for these, and thus far, 4900 of these have been requested. Please provide any cards that are suitable (no glitter, stickers, or excessive foil, etc), along with their envelopes, to one of the following locations:
Mail to:
EPAUMC Prison Ministry
PO. Box 820
Valley Forge, PA 19482-0820
Or
Deliver to:
Grove United Methodist Church in West Chester, PA
Leave them in the “blank cards” bag in the green tote outside the front door.
This collection will end by Monday, November 27. Thank you!
Note: if you want to have twice the impact, you can purchase cards at the online prison ministry art show coming up (preview Nov 7-9, sale Nov 10 at 7 PM – Nov 19 at 7 PM, at betterunite.com/prisonministryartshow )and donate those to this campaign – it will benefit those who are incarcerated at county facilities, as well as providing art supplies and funding community ministry on behalf of incarcerated artists at SCI Coal Township that produced the card images.
