EPA has a Coordinator for Safe Sanctuary needs in our churches – the mission is to have each church in EPA to have a certified copy of a policy for your church on file with the conference.

Rev. Jacqueline D. Daniszewski is the Coordinator for EPA, and her position is to review all uploaded safe sanctuary polices or emails sent to the email address for Safe Sanctuaries (EPAsafesanctuaries@epagnj.org). If corrections or additions are needed, the current pastor will receive an email with the needed information. Your church will then receive a certificate of compliance for your policy, and it will also be uploaded to your church documents in our document system.

Many churches have uploaded policies to Arena; however, there are still a great number which have not. An email will be forthcoming to your church if you do not have a policy on file. You may use the resolutions for Safe Sanctuaries as written and available on the EPA website under Resources, Safe Sanctuaries and/or update for your congregational needs. Remember we now have the Older & Vulnerable Adults resolution as well, so it should be included in your submissions.
