Mid-Atlantic UM Foundation

“Building financial resources for ministry.” The Mid-Atlantic United Methodist Foundation serves the financial stewardship and investment needs of churches in the Eastern Pennsylvania, Baltimore-Washington, and Peninsula-Delaware conferences, providing valuable information, education and investment management services consonant with United Methodist principles. Their services include stewardship education and planned giving counsel. Their goal, as a ministry partner, is to help the conferences and churches invest, grow, manage and utilize funds for enhanced ministry to achieve the denomination’s mission to “make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.”
Envisioning “financially healthy conferences, congregations and leaders to multiply God’s work in the world,” the Foundation’s mission is to “Educate church leaders about effective stewardship and grow financial resources with our ministry partners.” They strive for excellence, transparency and socially responsible investing.
An independent organization, the Foundation, is headquartered at the Eastern PA Conference Center. For information contact them at 484-762-8247, or email jackbrooks.mafoundation@gmail.com.
Why people don’t leave a legacy gift to your church
Jack Brooks, Executive Director of the Mid-Atlantic United Methodist Foundation, will explore the motivation of today’s donors who plan legacy gifts, how a church supports them during that journey, and also the top reasons why donors change planned gifts or never even consider them in the first place. Attend this informative stewardship discussion Nov. 8, at 6:30 to 8:30 PM (or come for dinner first at 5:30) at Holy Cross UMC’s Reading Campus, 329 N 5th St, Reading. The Rev. Kent Kroehler, Stewardship Chair of the Mid Atlantic United Methodist Foundation, will offer devotions. Register today.
