Due to concerns related to COVID-19, the UM Global Ministries Mission Volunteers program will offer a virtual orientation experience September 3-4 for all individuals and couples interested in learning more about the program. Especially invited are those who may be discerning future long-term volunteer service as part of their life journeys.

There is no registration cost for the virtual orientation. But persons must register by August 15 using an online form. This orientation replaces in-person training events for now.

The orientation will be held from 9 AM to 3:30 PM. The session will include such topics as The Theology of Mission, Cross-Cultural Expansion, Fundraising for Volunteer Service, and more. Participants are expected to prepare by completing required readings provided upon receipt of the online registration. Attendees should give their full commitment to the learning process and virtual environment.

Placement opportunities will be available in 2021 for all interested virtual orientation participants. For questions or more information, please email mv@umcmission.org.
