The Rev. Jasmine Rose Smothers became the first female, African-American appointed and the youngest lead pastor of historic First Atlanta First UMC. She serves her church, conference and community as an ordained elder, preacher, teacher, church consultant, leadership coach, author, community advocate and self-proclaimed “technology geek.”

She has participated on many task forces on Ministry with Young People, contributed to several publications and is the co-author of the best-selling book, Not Safe For Church: The Ten Commandments for Reaching New Generations.
