The Rev. Diana Esposito is the new Executive Director of the Wesley Student Foundation of Philadelphia, where she directs the Open Door Campus Ministry at Drexel University.  The ordained deacon has been a campus chaplain at Drexel for six years, following a one-year internship while in seminary. She served alongside previous executive directors the Revs. William Brawner and David Piltz.

Esposito also became Pastor of Children, Youth, and Community Engagement at Covenant UMC in Springfield in late August, after six years as the Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries at Grove UMC in West Chester. And she now co-chairs the Easter PA Conference’s Commission on Religion & Race.

“We welcome Diana in her new campus ministry leadership role,” said the Rev. Dawn Taylor-Storm, EPA’s Director of Connectional Ministries.  “She is committed to developing student leaders who live out their faith on campus and in their communities. Over the past year, she has led the Open Door weekly meals program, partnering with community organizations to feed 50 to 100 students a week.”

“I’m excited about this call to connect our students to the church and to the needs of the world,” said Esposito. She invites churches to contact her if they want to help sponsor meals or assist with community service efforts.
