Deaconess Barbara Drake, EPAUMC’s Secretary of Global Ministries, reports that conference churches and members, among its four districts, gave a grand total of $902,398.82 in 2018, 2019 and 2020. That report comes from the UMC’s General Board of Global Ministries, broken down by district. 

Gifts went to a long list of ministries and causes, including: UMCOR’s disaster response efforts; the Tanzania (West Africa) UMC’s hospitality facilities; the Red Bird Mission Clinic Community Health, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Program; Africa University scholarships; the Andean Rural Healthcare Program in Bolivia; Church World Service’s Refugee Response; Haiti Children Project; Bishop John K. Yambasu Agriculture Initiative; UMCOR’s Sager Brown Supply Depot; and many more projects.

Mission funds were also provided to support missionaries familiar to many in our conference, including couples Mark and Deirdre Zimmerman and Mutwale Ntambo Wa Mushidi and Kabaka Ndala Alphonsine; plus Brenda Nguwa and Rebecca Parsons.
