Recent Events & Activities

Working on revision of our team’s webpage on the conference website to make it up to date, with readily accessible info and resources.

Provided Healing Communities Training, sponsored with the West Chester Mission Link, via ZOOM over 3 sessions in September (9/21, 9/25, 9/28).  This training is a great way to learn how congregations can be more supportive of those who are incarcerated and their families, as well as returning citizens.  We had a small, but very engaged group of participants from around the conference.

Christmas cards for inmates program this year is now complete, cards are being vetted and prepared for distribution. Over 5500 cards were collected.

Upcoming Events & Activities

Plans are being made for a 3 week conference book study based on Anthony Ray Hinton’s book, The Sun Does Shine. This is scheduled for May 11, 18 and 25, 2022.  The author himself will lead the first week, and we are planning for a speaker from the Equal Justice Initiative to lead the second week.
