Pathway to cultivating and catalyzing new generations of enthusiastic disciples of Jesus Christ that connect, grow and lead in their congregations and communities to transform the world.

“Start young people off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” - Proverbs 22:6

Ministry with the next generation of disciples is vital for the health and sustainability of a local church. Ministry with children (up to grade 6), youth (grades 6-12) and young adults (18 to 30 years old) supports these young people to grow in their relationships with God and others, to assist them in discerning God’s purpose for their lives and to empower them to live like Christ in who they are and what they do. Next generation ministry furthers the mission of the local church as it creates a age-appropriate spaces for spiritual growth along with cultivating and catalyzing new generations of enthusiastic disciples of Jesus Christ that connect, grow and lead in their congregations and communities to transform the world.

There are 3 steps for young people to grow as disciples’ part of your local church:

CONNECT with God and others
GROW in their faith through youth group, small groups, Bible study and/or mentoring
LEAD in the church and community

The ideal team for the Youth Ministry Pathway includes: Senior Pastor, 1-2 members of Staff Parish Relations Committee, 1 member of Administrative Council, adult representatives of the youth ministry (youth pastor/director, youth leaders, youth parents) and youth representatives of the youth ministry (1 middle school & 1-2 high school students)
