The next Pastors Spiritual Retreat will happen April 3 at Hope UMC in Ephrata and online via Zoom, at 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.  REGISTER. Participate via Zoom. (Meeting ID: 964 2192 0885. Passcode: 236569.) The Rev. Peter Jamieson will lead the retreat; and the Rev. Jenny Freymoyer, West District Superintendent, will celebrate the Eucharist with attendees.

John Neider, pastor at Romansville UMC, registered on impulse for the March 6 retreat at St. Andrews UMC in New Berlinville. But as the day drew near, he doubted he could fit it into his busy schedule.

“That’s when I got this inner nudge that said, ‘Go, John.’ So, I went. And I found what I needed: some time away from the busyness of the day and more importantly, time to connect with God and with others. It was a time of presence for me and others, as the Holy Spirit moved among us.

We had alone time and group time. And it all worked together for me, recharging my spiritual batteries and lifting me up. Try it and you won’t be disappointed.”

Onsite retreaters can come early and view together the one-hour conferencewide presentation and discussion of church theologian and historian Paul Chilcote’s highly recommended new book, Multiplying Love: A Vision of United Methodist Life Together. It begins that day via Zoom at 11 a.m.

The May 1 retreat will happen at Quakertown UMC.
