Sometimes life comes crashing down all at once, and you aren’t sure where to turn. We, of course, always have Jesus, who stands with us in every storm. However, in my experience, Jesus doesn’t generally hop onto the phone to help you find childcare in your community.

You can call a therapist, which, by the way, therapists are great—10/10 experience. But getting started with a therapist can take time. There may be an onboarding process that takes a week or two to navigate before you really dive into the stressor that led you to therapy in the first place.

You can phone a friend, but sometimes they don’t have the wisdom or perspective that you need, or they’re busy handling their own stuff.

When life keeps life-ing and things feel hard, the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) from Wespath is ready and able to step into the gap.

The EAP can help you with all kinds of life stuff, including:

  • Conflict at work
  • The emotional impact of living with a chronic or serious illness, or caring for an ailing family member
  • Finding childcare or elder care in your community
  • Maintaining boundaries between professional life and personal life
  • Marital and family satisfaction
  • Legal matters, such as wills and adoption
  • Stress, anxiety, or depression
  • Substance abuse

If you are covered by HealthFlex, then you receive 8 free sessions every year to help you hold all that life throws at you.

To get started, log in to your Virgin Pulse account here. Click on Benefits today and scroll to find Optum EAP, or you can call 1-866-881-6800. You can talk to an EAP specialist or use your EAP to access Talkspace.com to talk or text with a licensed therapist. You’ll need an authorization code, so please call 1-866-881-6800 first.
