This summer, for the first time since the pandemic, the United Women in Faith (formerly United Methodist Women) will gather in-person for Mission u, a two-day study to motivate, inform and enrich our outreach and global ministry. There will also be an option to participate in Mission u in an online study.

Women, youth, and men are invited to attend.

This year’s study is “Living the Kin-dom,” a new way to explore the Lord’s Prayer as a spiritual practice for social transformation. Instead of an automatic recitation of the prayer, each line will be examined.

The in-person study will be July 21, 12 noon to July 22, 4 p.m. at the Chester Hotel in Exton. The registration deadline is July 10. Leading that study will be the Rev. Mary Jane Kirby and Deaconess Allison Francesco. The cost is $225 for full time and $150 for commuters. Youth (entering grades 9-12) are free. Dinner on Friday and lunch on Saturday are included. Breakfast is available on Saturday for full-time attendees.

As an option to the in-person meeting, the study is also available online. It will meet Tuesday and Thursday evenings, August 8, 10 and 15, 17. The study leader will be Sandi Stovall (CLM). Internet access is needed to fully participate in the online class. The cost is $25.

There’s still time to register for both the in-person and online study on the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference website at https://www.epaumc.org/conference-calendar/united-women-in-faith-mission-u-2023-2/)
