Susie Keefer, of the Bishop Peter D. Weaver Congo Partnership, reports that Dr. Adolphe Yamba Yamba, Partnership Mission Coordinator in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), will visit supportive Delaware churches April 29 to May 9. The Eastern PA and Peninsula-Delaware conferences are members of the Partnership.
Keefer invites EPA churches to request a visit from Dr. Yamba Yamba to update them on the mission partnership’s work, which EPA has long supported. Acknowledging the short notice, she writes, “But God granted this time period; so I am writing to see if there are any opportunities for him to come speak.” She suggests worship services, small groups, Bible studies or informal gatherings.
Yamba Yamba directs a growing variety of lifesaving medical services for poor residents of the DRC’s Mpasa region. He has visited, hosted and befriended supporters of the mission in EPA, especially when led by former Bishop Peggy Johnson.
He is attending the General Conference in Charlotte, N.C., for several days and then will visit family in New York, before traveling to Delaware to visit supporters, hosted by Keefer. His U.S. visit is made possible by a generous donor. To learn more and arrange a visit in Eastern PA contact Susie Keefer at susie.keefer5950@gmail.com.
