Oxford UMC was awarded a grant of $4,216 from the Clyde P. and Katherine B. Alexander Memorial Fund of The Philadelphia Foundation to support the mission and ministries of the church.  Announcement of the grant was made by Pedro A. Ramos, President and CEO of the Foundation.

This grant supports the church’s missions and outreach programs in the community, such as hosting American Red Cross blood drives each month and supporting missionaries and missions around the world.  The 170-year-old church also joins with Allen African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church in Oxford, and other churches and organizations to encourage conversations on adopting best practices for promoting local unity.

Oxford, which is worshiping onsite and online now, will resume its 4th-Saturday community breakfasts Sept. 25.
