One of the responsibilities of the Eastern PA Conference delegation to the 2020 Northeastern Jurisdictional Conference is to identify potential episcopal candidates from our conference. A general letter from the delegations was emailed this week to clergy and lay members inviting them to submit up to two names of persons for consideration of nomination to the episcopacy. The letter also invites eligible clergy who feel called to the episcopacy to submit their own names. Delegates will engage in a prayerful process, including review of writings, interviews and discussion to present selected nominees to the Annual Conference in June 2020. The letter, also found on our Website, includes the Criteria for Episcopal Candidates of The UMC and an Episcopal Candidate Nomination Form. Rev. Johnson Dodla will receive nominations on behalf of the delegation at johnson@mthope.org by Jan 15, 2020.
