We have received word of the death of The Rev. Lewis Elbert Wethington, aged 96, who passed away on March 3, 2019. Rev. Wethington was a retired full member of Eastern PA Conference. His Extension Ministry Service Record is as follows:

- Visiting Professor, Theology, Duke Divinity School
- Assistant to President, Methodist College
- Professor & Chaplain, Religion, Lebanon Valley College
Dr. Wethington is survived by his loving wife, Lois, who very faithfully cared for him during his recent years of dementia. He is also survived by his children: Olin (Nadine), Joyce (Rick) and Mark (Beth), as well as 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Contributions in Rev. Wethington’s memory be made to the Wesley Heritage Foundation, Inc., the non-profit which he and Lois established in their retirement to share the thought and spirituality of the Wesleyan revival among Spanish-speaking people, via PO Box 76, Henrico, NC 27842.
