Recent Events & Activities
Spoke on February 24 at Christ UMC in Landsdale. Mission of the Month UMCOR Cleaning Buckets.
March 4 – UMCOR Training with Bishop Johnson and Cabinet. Director of UMCOR Cathy Earl and Greg Ellis conducted the training.
March 7 – ERT Conference call with other coordinators around the US.
March 16 – ERT Training at St. Paul’s Elizabethtown, West District. 10 new ERT’s Trained
March 18 – Attended PAVOAD State Meeting at PEMA Building in Harrisburg.
March 30 ERT Training at Asbury UMC Allentown, North District. 6 new ERT’s Trained
May Tornados hits Berks, Montgomery and Bucks counties. Alerted District Disaster coordinators, DS and Bishop.
June 6 – ERT Conference call with other coordinators around the US.
June 13-15 Annual Conference – The Disaster Ministries Team shared the table at Annual Conference with UMCOR and UMVIM.
June 25 Attended PAVOAD State Meeting at PEMA Building in Harrisburg.
June 26 Mailed out New ERT Badges
June 27 Meeting with South DIstrict disaster coordination team. New group of people interested in disaster response.
July 12 Heavy Rain caused Flash Floods in Berks, Montgomery Counties.
July 15 Closed out two UMCOR Grants for $10,000 each. 2018 Flooding and Beds for Puerto Rico Evacuees.
