CONAM presented a class in all four districts: Workshop Title: New Evangelism Models: Lessons Learned from Methodist Missions with Native Americans We examined the history of the Methodist church evangelism efforts with Native Americans, highlighting what was done wrong and what was done right, arriving at a way to go forward in the Act of Repentance.
*March 30, 2020 – We submitted a resolution for Annual Conference: Relating to recognition of Indigenous People’s Day as part of our Continuing the Journey Toward Healing and Wholeness with Indigenous Peoples established by the Act of Repentance.
*April 19, 2020 – Indian Country’s Hidden Figures: Outstanding Native American Women
We presented our spring Native American worship service and program on Zoom at 4pm EDT. We usually hold it at Camp Innabah, but since everyone is quarantined due to the coronavirus we will have a virtual gathering. We will have music, liturgy and a power point presentation with photos and stories of lesser-known outstanding Native American women.
Loss of Turtle Island Blanket Exercise was scheduled for April 5, 2020, at the Hill School in Pottstown, but was postponed due to quarantine. It will be rescheduled.
