Position Summary: The Director of Christian Education (DCE) fosters discipleship and spiritual formation and growth through educational programming and ministries for all ages.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for intergenerational ministry
• Develop and maintain Christian education programming and spiritual formation that aligns with the CUMC Mission Statement and vision
• Collaborate with Pastor and other CE leaders to select and evaluate the educational curricula
• Recruit, train, and assign volunteer teachers
• Support teachers by providing appropriate materials and in-service training
• Maintain Sunday school records and statistics
• Oversee and support leaders of Life Groups
