Director of Adult Faith Formation: Ephrata First UMC is looking for an enthusiastic individual who has a love for the Lord and wants to share and develop that faith in other adults. This is a 10-hour per week part-time position that provides leadership to all aspects of adult faith formation at First Church. This includes membership, helping adults mature spiritually and helping them become involved/equipped for ministry.
This individual should have a strong and growing relationship with Jesus Christ. She/he should have excellent leadership, interpersonal, recruiting, equipping, and organizational skills. Flexibility and the ability to communicate with various types of people will be important since this person needs to relate to adults from various ages and spiritual backgrounds. An undergraduate degree is preferred, as well as further studies in the area of spiritual development (such as Deacon or Certification) or equivalent experiences. Familiarity with the United Methodist Church is a plus.
