This past summer, you rose to the challenge—providing a livable wage for pastors in Tanzania. Your generosity is transforming lives, families, and entire communities. Thank you for your sacrificial generosity.

While our team was in Tanzania, we witnessed God’s Spirit moving powerfully among us. One moment stood out: a young woman named Rehema felt a clear call to ministry. Her story is remarkable—Rehema is the first person, male or female, in her Masai tribe to pursue higher education.

The Masai people have a rich and beautiful culture, living in remote rural areas of Tanzania. Each year, many members of the tribe attend the Annual Conference and a new United Methodist faith community has been formed in the Masai tribe. It was at this year’s conference that Rehema made the life-changing decision to continue her education—and she was accepted to Africa University.

Now, we have the incredible opportunity to walk alongside Rehema as she steps into this calling. “We have the opportunity to participate in Rehema’s education which will impact not only Rehema’s life but also support Rehema as she returns to share her learning with the Masai tribe,” says Rev. Dawn Taylor-Storm, EPA&GNJ Director of Connectional Ministries.

Transformation begins with one life.

With your help, Rehema can attend school without the burden of financial stress. Rehema’s costs will come to just over $5000 each year of her four-year degree. Our goal is to raise $21,107 to cover her room, board, travel expenses, research costs, fieldwork, and school supplies.

Your continued support makes a difference. Together, we can help Rehema—and others like her—build a future rooted in faith, leadership, and hope.

You can make a gift to support Rehema’s education here.
