On June 14, 2026, the First United Methodist Church of Frackville celebrated its 146th founding anniversary with a special focus on how God’s faithfulness continues through all generations. The event, led by the Rev. A. L. Bautista, Jr. (Pastor Nong), Frackville Mayor and FUMC Council Chairperson John Morgan, Jr., and the church leadership team, drew over a hundred family and friends.

Generations of believers gathered to mark this important milestone, highlighting the legacy of faith in Frackville. Through the FUMC Frackville community, God’s great faithfulness extends from parents to children and into the future. Each generation adds their own voice to the song of praise. Older members share stories of past years. Younger members bring new energy to the pews. The bond between them in continuous community testifies that God’s promise remains true for every single age.

At the anniversary service, the Rev. Sue Keterrer, the church’s former pastor, shared a powerful message. She reminded those gathered about God’s faithfulness both to her own family and to the FUMC family. Keterrer proclaimed that the church stands only by the grace of God.

State lawmakers and local leaders joined in worship to celebrate the church’s anniversary and ongoing significance in the Frackville community. FUMC also received official recognitions and proclamations from state Senator David G. Argall, State Representative Tim Twardzik, and the Borough of Frackville represented by Mayor John Morgan, Jr., FUMC Council Chairperson. These awards highlighted decades of FUMC community support, outreach ministries, and spiritual guidance.

Following the service, more than a hundred people moved outside for a joyful meal. Laughter, food, and line dancing filled the church lawn under the summer sky. Friends old and new shared stories. This joyful time reflected the true spirit of a loving church family and the meaningful impact it has in the community.
