If your church has responsibility for a cemetery, your Conference Board of Trustees would appreciate your assistance with updating information about that cemetery.   

Per the Book of Discipline ¶2512.3b,c church owned properties including cemeteries become the responsibility of the Conference Board of Trustees when churches discontinue. It is so important that the Conference Trustees are aware of the cemeteries which are held by our local churches within the Annual Conference so that the Trustees may properly care for them in the event of a church closure.

We now have a questionnaire for local churches with cemeteries. You can access it here. Local church Trustee chairs and pastors of churches with a cemetery are asked to discuss this form with your Trustees to aid in gaining the necessary information requested and to keep your Trustees informed. Your Conference Board of Trustees thank you so much for helping us to steward well the resources with which the Lord has blessed us.
