Aug 07, 2023 | The Rev. Steven Morton

Enjoy a day of spiritual retreat and renewal on Wednesday, Sept. 20, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Daylesford Abbey, a monastery located in Paoli, Chester County. This time of respite is designed for pastors who welcome fresh training, a mental boost and fellowship with colleagues to fortify us for the living of these days. It is described as a time to “reset.” Register today.

Our retreat leader is the Rev. Ron Bell, Director of Healing and Resilience for Discipleship Ministries and The Upper Room. Passionate about “emotional formation” and the intersection of faith and mental health, he is certified in Trauma Response and Crisis Intervention and has authored two books on grief and healing.

In UM Communications’ Get Your Spirit In Shape podcast the Rev. Ron Bell shares tips for healing from trauma and reconnecting with God and others. Listen to him in Episode 096.

An ordained member of the Peninsula-Delaware Conference, Dr Bell has planted and served churches and received his doctorate in ministry from Lancaster Theological Seminary. Today he travels the county leading “Reset Retreats” for pastors doing ministry under the heavy clouds of Covid, political divide, and denominational decline. Learn more about the Rev. Dr. Ron Bell.
