Carson Simpson Farm marked a century of serving its Upper Moreland community in April 2019. The wide open landscape of Hatboro and Willow Grove looked much different in 1919. The journey to the sprawling farms from urban Philadelphia took much longer.

For over 100 years Carson Simpson Farm Christian Camp has been a destination where children can come and spread out in open space, enjoy outdoor recreation and connect with God in His Creation. The original 1790 farmhouse still stands, as well as the dormitory and dining hall built in the 1920’s. Most of the pavilions were constructed in the 1930’s.

While many facelifts have occurred over the years, Carson Simpson Farm maintains its remarkable history not only by its facilities, but also by the traditional camp program it offers. CSF has a bustling day camp for children from 3 years old through 6th grade, a Junior/Senior High Leadership Program, summer classes, and our popular PEACE Ministries, an overnight program for children from low-income families in Philadelphia.

The camp offers a morning snack, hot lunch and mind, body and soul-enriching activities, all served up by a trained, caring staff. We consider it a privilege to welcome all children to grow, be nurtured and enjoy adventures together each summer.

Carson Simpson Farm Christian Camp is proud and thankful to be ministering in its community, while serving its metropolitan neighbors and representing the Eastern PA Conference of The United Methodist Church

CSF Christian Camp Summer Highlights

We enjoyed 3 Open Houses this year, in March, April and May, to give parents more options to visit and ask questions. Our summer theme is Faithful: Celebrating 100 Years of God’s Faithfulness, 1919-2019.”

CSF “Kids Give Back” project collected and donated during summer 2018 more than $1,500 to help the Methodist Church of Puerto Rico’s Camp Corson recover from Hurricane Maria’s damage. This summer campers and staff will raise fund to support the Appalachian Service Project organization.

We will give funds directly to the work team from Willow Grove United Methodist Church to help them fund projects. If you are interested in donating to our “Kids Give Back” project for 2019, please contact the camp.

Carson Simpson Farm will be celebrating its birthday all summer. But on July 17 (rain date July 18) our Family Night and Silent Auction will climax the celebration. Along with our regular organized games, food for sale, face painting and swimming, we will have horse-drawn wagon rides (a reminiscence of 100 years ago), a photo booth and live music.

If you would like to help us celebrate our 100th birthday by donating auction items, gift certificates or vacation weeks please contact JoAnne at 215-659-0232.

We will add a Jr. Chef Class this summer, and it is is already filling up. We will add Ms. CSF to our biannual Mr. CSF contest July 18. We hope to get a few past Mr. CSF winners back to help judge.  There will be many new specials and some traditional events that everyone looks forward to each year.

Ask the Camp and Retreat Ministry Board for any info. on Camp Champions, it is targeting Jr. High and High School campers.
