The Contemporary Praise and Worship Leader is called serve a passionate ministry leading a praise team (including vocalists, musicians, and technicians) by selecting, arranging, and participating in live music, prayer, scripture reading, and graphic pathways for meaningful worship experiences that support spiritual formation, growth, and relationships with Jesus Christ. The selectee plays a crucial role in servant leadership by fostering a joyful culture within the church family and surrounding community while being led by the Holy Spirit to walk boldly in their own faith journey. (S)He contributes to the overall mission of the United Methodist Church to form disciples of Jesus Christ who love boldly, serve joyfully, and lead courageously, as well as inspires the congregation at large to fulfill the mission of Gravel Hill United Methodist Church (GHUMC) – live, learn and share Christ.
