2026 CR/CC Workshop

Saturday, June 6, 2026

9:00am – 2:00pm

Virtual on Zoom

This workshop is designed as a resource for pastors and congregations entering or currently serving in cross-racial and cross-cultural appointments.

The purpose of this gathering is to equip both clergy and laity with deeper cultural awareness, understanding, and practical tools for navigating the opportunities, challenges, and blessings of cross-cultural ministry within the life of the church.

Participants will be invited to reflect on their ministry context and grow in their capacity to lead faithfully across differences.

Throughout the workshop, participants will:

  • Explore cultural competency through a biblical and theological lens
  • Reflect on the unique dynamics of cross-racial and cross-cultural appointments
  • Connect with leaders who are actively serving in similar ministry contexts
  • Engage key resources offered by the well-trained CRCC Ministry team
  • Discern faithful and practical next steps for their local ministry setting

We strongly encourage each participating church to register as a team of three to four individuals, including the pastor and key lay leadership (such as the SPRC Chair or lay leader), in order to support shared learning and implementation. If some of your leaders have already participated in this workshop, we encourage you to invite new leaders to take part and have a meaningful opportunity to learn and build connections.

Please register each individual separately so that all participants may receive the Zoom link and workshop resources.  Once you register, you will receive a confirmation email with the Zoom link, workshop materials, and a feedback form.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Rev. Sean Lee (slee@epagnj.org).
