
It is good to gather together and to celebrate meaningful ministry. On Saturday, March 29, United Methodists across EPA will have the opportunity to do just that at the Eastern Pennsylvania Annual Conference Award Ceremony at Paoli UMC. Gathering time begins at 9am, come early for coffee and refreshments and to rub elbows with friends both old and new. The program begins at 10am with a worship service that will honor this year’s award winners.
The Herbert E. Palmer Award for Urban Ministry, created in honor of the Rev. Herbert E. Palmer, who served as Interim Director of Urban Ministries for eight years after his retirement from local church ministry. The Herbert E. Palmer Awards honor one pastor in each District who is doing exceptional ministry in urban areas
Harry Denman Evangelism Award honors selected United Methodist clergy, lay and youth whose exceptional outreach to others invites and brings people into a life-transforming relationship with Jesus Christ.
Narberth Legacy Action Ministry Grant. The Narberth UMC Legacy Ministry Action Fund was created after the sale of Narberth United Methodist Church in 2014, they felt called to seed new ministries and leave a legacy of their more than 135 years of faithful witness as a congregation in the United Methodist Church. This award is given to one faith community.
