We received word that the Rev. Erwin E. Boettcher, 89, of Lancaster, passed away on May 2, 2016.  He was on loan to the Eastern PA Conference from the Moravian Church when he served Brunnerville UMC  from 1988 to 1992, and then he retired.

Rev. Boettcher was a Moravian minister for 37 years, and a chaplain at Moravian Manor, Lititz, from 1982-1988.

He is survived by three daughters and their spouses: Wendy (and William) Hardiman of Bethlehem, PA; Jill (and Rev. Richard) Bruckart of Riverside, NJ; and Rebecca (and Kelley) Jones of Red Lion, PA. Also surviving him are three grandchildren, one great-grandson and one sister.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 14, at 11:30 AM, at Lancaster Moravian Church, 227 N. Queen St, Lancaster, PA 17603. Family and friends are invited to a luncheon at the church following the service.

In lieu of flowers. contributions in Rev. Boettcher’s memory may be made to the Lancaster Moravian Church.
