Dec. 1st: “Christmas in Marshallton” at Marshallton UMC

Quick! Draw a BIG red circle around December 1st on your calendars so you don’t miss the beginning of Christmas fun in Marshallton Village.

Between Breakfast with Santa at the West Bradford Firehouse at 9 AM and the lighting of the tree at the historic remains of Martin’s Tavern from 4-6 PM, be sure to join in this wonderful event: the Christmas in Marshallton House Tour from 10 AM to 2 PM, sponsored by Marshallton United Methodist Church, 1282 W. Strasburg Road, West Chester.  Back by popular demand, the tour includes 19 homes and public buildings some dating back to 1724. Tickets, $25.00 in advance and $30.00 the day of the event, may be purchased by contacting the church office at 610-696-5247 or via email at office@marshalltonchurch.org.

That day the church building will also become a venue for “pop-up shops” with art exhibits and sales, craft and homemade cookie sales, live music in the sanctuary, and a box lunch being sold in Fellowship Hall for $10.

Talk about the perfect gift for that friend who has everything, or to say thanks to a neighbor.  You will easily get in the holiday spirit in charming Marshallton, which was established in the 1760s. The Tour is a celebration of Marshallton United Methodist Church’s 190 years of mission and ministry in Marshallton.
