Resolution 2012-21 Second Tier
Dear Church Leader:
If your church has pledged and is meeting its commitment to the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference’s “Fulfilling Our Covenant” Capital Campaign, we earnestly thank you for your faithfulness to this collective stewardship effort. Along with other participating churches, you have helped us reduce the amount that we will need to fund our Pre-82 Retired Clergy Pension Liability.
If you have not made a commitment or begun paying on it, it is not too late to do so. We will soon enter the campaign’s final year, and we are prayerfully eager to finish this important race together, with faithful participation by all our churches.
For many of us, we know that coming to this point in the campaign has not been easy. In fact, for some it has been downright difficult. So, we want to say thank you not only for your faithfulness, but for your sacrifice as well.
While our goal was to raise $3,000,000 in this campaign, local churches and individuals have committed nearly $4,000,000; and as of September 15, 2015 we have received a total of $2,389,137.68. This breaks down with $2,074,226.73 as the Conference share and another $314,910.95 being returned to local churches for their projects.
