United Methodist Communications is seeking an experienced financial professional to oversee planning, coordination and interpretation of financial goals and objectives to support the vision and mission of United Methodist Communications. This individual will work closely with the General Commission on Communication and the Foundation for United Methodist Communications, demonstrating advanced knowledge and experience in areas of finance, accounting, business administration management, cost accounting, analyzing and evaluating investment objective. He/she will display proficiency in the areas of: strategic planning, organizing, training, teambuilding and decision making, demonstrating continuous improvements in professional knowledge while supporting the Core Values as set forth by UMCom. This individual must provide hope and vision deeply rooted in Christian faith and practice, have strong knowledge of The United Methodist Church structure and polity; enforce policies and procedures and demonstrate cultural sensitivity.
We require a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance; Master’s Degree/CPA is preferred
Applicants must have a minimum of 6 years of experience in financial leadership and management, along with working knowledge of financial standards as they apply to non-profit entities.
