Boehms Chapel
Historic Boehm’s Chapel will host its annual Advent program of Lessons and Carols on Sunday, Dec. 3, from 3 to 4 PM. The candlelit program will recount the story of Christ’s birth through familiar readings from the Bible’s prophets and Gospels. Scripture readings will be interspersed with vocal music, including traditional carols sung a cappella by the congregation. A love offering will be received.
The anniversary book Sowing Seeds of Faith, A Boehm History, The First 300 Years, 1717-2017 will be available for purchase. The approximately 200-page book weaves the story of the Pequea Township’s Boehm family with that of Boehm’s Chapel and the present-day Boehm’s UMC. Brief biographies are included for each circuit rider and pastor who served the congregation between 1775-2017.
