All youth are invited to the inaugural Eastern PA Conference Youth Rally, May 3, from 4 to 7 PM, at West Lawn UMC in Reading, Pa. Onsite registration begins at 3:30; so come early. Featured will be live music by DJ Randy P (right) & Da’FLOCK (FLOCK means “For the Love Of Christ’s Kingdom”) and also #JesusTrending, the Hopewell UMC Youth Praise Band. Guest speakers David Burke (left), Ann Jacob (center), both inspirational leaders, will dialogue with young participants about the rally theme “Reclaiming Identity.”
We will receive an offering for mission to help the conference United Methodist Men transport potatoes to Annual Conference again in May so conference members can take and distribute them for free to neighbors in need. Make checks payable to Eastern PA Conference and indicate: Eastern Rally.
Church leaders are asked to display and distribute the flyer and encourage their youth to attend. “We want everyone in the conference to know about this first-time event,” says Conference Coordinator of Young People’s Ministries David Piltz. “We are excited and can’t wait to see everyone there.”
This rally is sponsored by the Conference Council on Youth Ministries. Contact David Piltz for more info at firstname.lastname@example.org or 814-883-0118.
In addition, Young Adults from across the Conference will retreat overnight, Friday to Saturday, May 29-30, at Gretna Glen Camp and Retreat Center. Their theme: “Awake: A Time of Renewal to Eagerly Build Awareness.” Join them as they enjoy fellowship and share wisdom on the topics of Career versus Vocation, Healthy Relationships and Spiritual Centering. Young Adult Ministries Coordinator David Piltz will facilitate discussions. Contact him at email@example.com or 814-883-0118.
