We are looking for someone who can provide a Bible lesson during the preaching time. This would be every Sunday for about 30-40 minutes. Supervision: The Chancel Choir Director functions under the direction of the Senior Pastor and is held accountable through the supervision of the Senior Pastor and the Pastor Parish Relations Committee.
Qualifications/Experience: The Chancel Choir Director will have the required experience to lead choirs and help lead the worship service. The Chancel Choir Director will demonstrate a mature and visible commitment to Jesus Christ.
Position Summary: The Chancel Director assists CUMC in its vision as it relates to Traditional Worship. The Chancel Choir Director’s primary responsibility is to oversee the planning, coordination, and implementation of a Traditional Adult Choir.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Subject to review and adjustment in conjunction with the Pastor Parish Relations Committee and the Pastor, the following constitute the major responsibilities of the Chancel Choir Director:

Ruhl’s U.M.C. is committed to helping people grow in their faith in Jesus Christ, and live out that faith in the larger community.
The office administrator works closely with the pastor and performs a variety of administrative duties. A successful candidate must be able to work independently and take initiative, conduct him or herself with the utmost respect and confidentiality, and be computer and technology savvy.
The office administrator acts as the first point of contact and the face of the church to the community at large and the congregation. The office administrator prepares the weekly worship bulletins; a weekly email newsletter; maintains the church directory, and other records; updates the church calendar; answers the phone and responds to emails; and other duties that support the ministry of the church as requested by the pastor.
Office and/or secretarial/administrative experience required; church or religious background or comparable nonprofit experience strongly preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite; knowledge of social media and church management software a plus.
The position is Monday through Friday, 20 hours a week. Wage is negotiable based on experience.
