Domestic violence, crossing boundaries, lustful thoughts, self-gratification are issues men manage and navigate. Sometimes rarely and sometimes often. Why are those issues for men? Well, the messages of attraction, parenting, dating, marriage, sex and sexuality begins at a very early age. And those messages can be confusing on how to act in a right and just manner.

So, what does this have to do with ministerial roles? That’s the question this program delves into. Through discussions, activities, case studies and maybe even movie clips, participants will:

· Define the difference between ethics and morals and how those differences

impact ministry

· List the three ways of ethical decision making

· Define boundary crossing and the warning signs before boundaries are crossed

· Apply attachment theory to case studies

· List what is ‘normal’ and ‘abnormal’ in lust

· Apply countertransference and transference to ministerial roles and duties

Drawing on years of experience as a hotline operator for domestic violence and working with clients of sexual trauma, this program attempts to help everyone act in loving and caring ways towards others.
