Northwest District’s Global Mission Project

Imagine saving millions of lives

Imagine watching not half but all your children grow to adulthood

Have you ever wished you could do something really significant? That would make a real difference?  That would change the world forever?

Imagine No Malaria is the 2012 United Methodist 2012 Global Campaign. It is a campaign that seeks to eradicate malaria in Africa by 2015. It is an extension of the Nothing But Nets campaign. This campaign is more than just a campaign against a disease that kills children and destroys families. It’s a movement, to create real change in the world. The four major components of the plan: Prevention, Treatment, Education, and Communication.  Are all geared to empower people to be part of the solution and give them the tools to fight this disease.

We Can Make A Difference!

We Can Change The World Forever!

Please participate by contributing toward our 2012 Global Mission Project.  Let us do our part, and be as generous as possible.  Our District goal is to raise at least $10,000.  At our Tools for Ministry event we raised $809.00.  So far, through donations from individuals and churches we have raised a total of $4,110.00. We are almost half way to our goal. Help us help the world.

Be creative in your efforts, then let us share your ideas with the other churches of our district.

Donations are welcome from individuals, groups within the church, and organizations.

Some ideas to raise money:

  •  Host a “house party” to share information about malaria and encourage your friends and families to donate
  • Organize a golf tournament, 5K run, spaghetti dinner, garage sale, or other event
  • Host a special service to support this ministry (UM Communications has tools available)
