Keynote Presenter: The Rev. Dr. Clif Christopher
Dr. Christopher founded the Horizons Stewardship Company in 1992 following a challenging career in pastoral ministry.  He serves as the company’s CEO to this day.  In his twenty years as a pastor, he led numerous major building and capital campaigns.  Since founding Horizons, he has led consultations in over 1,000 churches, conferences, synods and diocese in all phases of building, finance, and church growth.
Opening Worship Preacher: The Rev. Dr. Susan Henry-Crowe, General Secretary of The United Methodist General Board of Church & Society (GBCS)
As the chief executive officer of the board, Dr. Henry-Crowe leads GBCS’s visionary role as the denomination’s social-justice advocate and oversees programming, staff and administration of the board’s office, headquartered in Washington, D.C.  She is an ordained United Methodist elder and continues to serve as a member of the South Carolina Annual Conference.  She was the second woman to be ordained in the South Carolina Conference and the first woman president of the Judicial Council.
Ordination Preacher: Bishop James E. Swanson Sr. from the Mississippi Episcopal Area
Bishop Swanson was elected a bishop in The United Methodist Church and assigned to the Knoxville Episcopal Area in June 2004. He became resident bishop of the Mississippi Area September 1, 2012. Bishop Swanson is currently serving as the president of the General Commission on United Methodist Men. He is also a member of the Connectional Table of The United Methodist Church, the Path One Advisory Board and the International Association of Methodist Schools, Colleges and Universities.
Memorial Preacher: Bishop Peggy A. Johnson
Bishop Johnson is the resident Bishop of the Philadelphia Area which encompasses the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference and the Peninsula-Delaware Conference. Bishop Johnson has a particular passion for ministry with people with disabilities and her years as the pastor of an all-Deaf congregation led her on paths of experience with not only the deaf and deaf-blind communities but also with those who have mobility, intellectual, and mental health challenges.
