Keynote Presenter: The Reverend Mike Slaughter (generously sponsored by Hopewell UMC) – one teaching session Thursday night, May 15, 7:00 p.m. and two teaching sessions on Friday morning, May 16, 9:00 a.m. – noon.
Opening Worship Preacher: Bishop Gabriel Yemba Unda from the East Congo Episcopal Area, Thursday, May 15, 2:00 p.m.

Clergy and Laity Sessions will be at the Expo Center Thursday morning, May 15, 10:00 a.m. – noon.
On both Friday and Saturday mornings, May 16-17, at 7:30 a.m., join Order of St. Luke members for a brief devotion and communion prior to Holy Conferencing. Also, come prepared to participate in The United Methodist Men Potato Drop for the hungry May 15-17.

Resolutions submitted after the MARCH 18, 2014 deadline will NOT be considered at the 2014 Annual Conference.

Resolution Relating to Housing Allowance for Retired Clergy (Title)

WHEREAS, the religious denomination known as The United Methodist Church has and functions through Ministers of the Gospel who are duly ordained or licensed; and
WHEREAS, the practice of The United Methodist Church is to provide a parsonage or a rental allowance as part of the gross compensation for each of its active ordained or licensed ministers; and
WHEREAS, pension paid to retired and disabled ordained or licensed ministers of The United Methodist Church are considered as deferred compensation and are paid to said retired and disabled ordained or licensed ministers in consideration of previous, active service; and
WHEREAS, the Internal Revenue Service has recognized that the Eastern Pennsylvania Annual Conference is the appropriate organization to designate a housing/rental allowance for retired and disabled ordained or licensed ministers who are members of this Conference:

ANNUAL CONFERENCE REGISTRATION
Clergy, Lay and Equalizing Delegates are encouraged to register on-line, beginning March 12, 2014, via the link on our web-site (www.epaumc.org/events/annualconference).
The deadline to register is May 2, 2014. Registrations received after May 2, will be considered on a walk-in basis at Annual Conference.
If you return your registration via mail, it needs to be postmarked by APRIL 18, 2014.

Vendor reservations for display tables must be submitted and payment received at the time of submission. Space is limited and will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. Table reservations are mandatory – we will not be able to accommodate you without a reservation.
