Post Covid-19 pandemic, Cornwall United Methodist Church holds three worship services (informal, contemporary, and traditional) with a total average attendance of 110 people, with additional members and visitors watching on live-stream. We have a Children’s Ministry leader who oversees the activities of 6-7 children on Sunday mornings and a part-time Youth Ministry leader who leads a Jr/Sr High group averaging 3-4 teens in Sunday School, & 12-15 youth at the Sunday Night youth fellowship. We have 1 adult Sunday school, and 6-7 small groups for adults. We are located in a suburban neighborhood next to an elementary school and surrounded on three sides by senior living facilities. We support 12 mission/parachurch groups over the year and have fully paid our EPA billing and apportionments.

Gravel Hill UMC is an active congregation with three worship services on Sundays (one traditional and two contemporary). We have an active Sunday school program for children, youth, and adults. We also offer multiple small group and bible study opportunities throughout the week including Pioneer Club and Youth Group. We support a number of community ministries through our school district and the Caring Cupboard (a community food bank). In 2022, we celebrated 8 baptisms and 11 confirmations.

Ardmore United Methodist Church conducts worship in the traditional style with formal sacred music. Our congregation is diverse in terms of race, social and economic background, and gender, and includes members from various countries and cultures. We are inclusive and supportive of the LGBTQ community. We stream our Sunday worship service on YouTube and currently have an average in-person and livestream attendance of 52. We proudly welcome all people in our worship! Our community outreach includes: weekly collections of nonperishables to Eldernet, church garden produce donated to local hospice/food banks, Thanksgiving meal boxes to Mid-Town Parish, members volunteer at Grace Cafe, support Methodist Services, host a book club, Bible Study discussion groups, and men’s and women’s fellowship.

Lincoln Park offers both a contemporary worship experience with an excellent praise band and a traditional worship service with great music every Sunday. Our chancel choir sings every Sunday, and the bell choir performs occasionally. Adult Sunday school and children’s Sunday school are offered in-between services from 10:05 to 10:50 am. We have been offering a hybrid worship experience since the pandemic. Every Monday an email goes out to the whole congregation with Sunday worship links, announcements and prayer needs. We have an active children’s ministry program with a part time staff. We are currently exploring to start a pre-school program to use our facilities more fully during the week. Men’s fellowship and Agape women’s group meet monthly. Our food ministry offers meals to the Opportunity House in Reading on alternative months while our Care Ministry offers a full course meal to some of our senior members, and those going through challenging times, and some in the community once a month. Our missions team is active and supports various needs locally as well as globally.

Grove is a 249-year-old church committed to meeting the needs of the community in mission, worship, and support. We offer two worship styles: Traditional and Contemporary; and maintains over 20 missions/ministries including a pre-school, youth missions, Cancer Care, Greif Share, community dinners, and more. The congregation supports a missionary in Northern Ireland and has been participating in Appalachian Service Projects continually for 25 years sending youth and adults to sites. Grove averages 120 in-person worshipers and 50 online worshipers. Grove continues to be financially viable. Grove is examining God’s call for us.

Paoli United Methodist Church is an active congregation of 125 members. It offers weekly traditional worship with a praise band once per month. Internal ministries include a youth program of 10 students, two bible study groups, and weekday preschool with 100 children. Community outreach includes vacation bible school, Salvation Army meals, food bank support, Methodist Service support, and an annual youth/adult mission trip to West Virginia or other locations. We are welcoming, warm Christians endeavoring to fulfill our mission to “Love God, Follow Christ, Serve Others” every day, everywhere. 


East District

Washington Crossing United Methodist Church offers contemporary worship services that focus on experiencing God’s presence, led by a team of three pastors. The services are themed and inspiring. Since the Covid-19 pandemic, the church’s new sanctuary/media center has enabled them to enhance their online streaming capabilities, reaching new people locally, nationally, and internationally and returning to pre-Covid attendance levels. They have also resumed their full schedule of ministry programs, including Small Groups, Women’s Ministries, School of Ministry, Healing Rooms, Prophecy, Outward Sports, and Outreach to the poor (Cast Your Cares in Kensington, Urban Promise, St James). The church looks forward to growth in reaching the next generation for Christ.
