Death Notice: The Rev. Richard C. Holder

Word has been received of the death of The Rev. Richard C. Holder, retired local pastor, who passed away on December 7, 2010. 

He was a licensed local pastor at Grace United Methodist Church, Reading, from 1990 until he retired in 2009.  He was a member of West Lawn United Methodist Church, West Lawn.

In addition to his wife, Sally, he is survived by his son, the Rev. Douglas R. Holder, three grandchildren: Laura, Abigale, and Ryan; and one great-grandson, Jayden.  He was also a foster parent for 12 children.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 18, at 2:30 p.m. in the auditorium at Phoebe Berks Village, 1 Reading Dr., Wernersville, PA.  A visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m., followed by music from 2 to 2:30 p.m. Burial will be in Poipu, Kauai, Hawaii, at the convenience of the family.
