Mrs. Pearl Griffiths

Word has been received of the death of Mrs. Pearl (Pike) Griffiths, 96, who passed away on Saturday March 27, 2010, at Manor Care, Pottstown.  She was the widow of the late Rev. Maris H. Griffiths.

Rev. Griffiths was a supply minister who served Boyertown: Ebenezer, Evansburg (for 18 years) and Temple Methodist Churches (1963-1966).  He passsed away in 1966 at the age of 55.

Mrs Griffiths, was a member of Temple United Methodist Church, Pottstown, and taught Sunday School for 30 years, and served as president of the United Methodist Women of West Chester District for eight years.

She is survived by son Bruce D. Griffiths, 292 Maugers Mill Rd., Pottstown, PA 19464.  She was preceded in death by sons, Gordon, Richard, & Robert, and grandson, Michael Griffiths.

A funeral service will be held at 11a.m., on Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at the Houck & Gofus Funeral Home Inc., 955 N. Charlotte St., Pottstown, PA.  A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
